Week 12 already?

Hi and thanks for visiting.

Week 12 was an interesting week for me on a personal level as I started a new contract at work - that's the joy and the challenge of contracting......change can be quite frequent.  I used some wood veneer birds - think these were Tweet from Studio Calico on my title and another flair from A Piece of Cake Designs on a filler card.  As I wanted to stick to a palette of fawn and lemon I made a journal card using a Stamp from Technique Tuesday - the Good Day set from Ali Edwards.

The left hand side is fairly simple.  Photos of everyday life, some Seafoam journal cards and some homemade journal cards using, again, Technique Tuesday stamps.  The arrow one is from the Beautiful set by Ali Edwards and the round one as above.  Used orange card stock just to give a bit of pop to the page. 

 And here they are together.........a real snapshot of our life this week.

The heat continues in Week 11....

It's catch up time with my blog posts.......thanks for taking a look at Week 11.

There was a lot of colour in my photos this week, so I used items from a number of kits and places.  My title card has a flair from http://www.apieceofcakedesigns.com.au and then I used some BH Seafoam journal cards together with an insert card from a Pebbles range of journalling cards (apologies, cannot remember which range).

The right hand side was more Seafoam with an Amy Tangerine layered camera embellishment and another filler card from Pebbles.  Love that this week has a photo from the Project Life Australia and New Zealand Victorian catch up.

And here is what the week looks like together.  When it's side by side you can see that I stuck mostly to the aqua and orange colours to try and give it a bit of uniformity.

Revamped Blog Competition

Hi, and thanks for visiting.

About a month ago I started the Jessica Sprague "Bloom your blog" course to learn how to make some changes and give my blog a fresh new look.......cause we all need a makeover now and again.

While I learnt how to do some things, there were other changes I wanted to make that weren't covered in the course.  Step in a friend of ours - Duane from QuikTek Solutions (www.quiktek.com.au) - and my updated blog is now ready to share.

So what do you think?  Do you like the design?  The colours? I'm interested in your thoughts.

While I've been having the changes made bogging of my Project Life has, of course, taken a back seat. But I have all the photos ready for a few weeks and will start creating the posts later today.
